Played it for 30mins, keep failing on sneaking past the two sets of guys at the start when you use the rock.

Gone back to WoW for a bit.

yeah i was hoping the more mentally unstable he got he'd start laughing like the Joker when killing animals and shit

Far Cry 2 pales in every comparison to Far Cry 3. I don't play many games these days, but I've been hooked. I've put in maybe 12 hours but haven't really got very because I've just been exploring.

Easily my GOTY, although the only other games I've bought this year have been Hotline Miami, BLOPS 2 and MGS HD

Yeah story is silly, rich, american white boy goes to native island, has qualms about killing people, but is soon plunging machetes into necks and murdering all over the place then he's outdoing the natives and saving them, taking back their home.

You're making it sound like it's a failure, do you sleep through the dialogues ? The way his character changes as you play is really well put together imo, off course it's easier to play a brainless soldier in call of duty (or even Far Cry 2) and shoot everyone without question, and a lot less work for the scenario team probably. Scenario is a huge part of why I like this game, Vaas' character for example is completely sick.

Those fucking towers though

didn't bother me much at all, since they seem to explain it with the magical tattoos thing as well as the various stuff he tripped on

the towers are a bit annoying, but they're worth just being able to zipline off of them

Yeh man, something about the towers in Assissin's creed that I loved.
Climb all the way up and dive off.
Even as an old hardened gamer, I still enjoy it.

SLIGHT SPOLIERS

AVOID THIS POST

I'm on to Hoyt's Island now and the difficulty of the game has just ramped up, The German dude is jokes..

I like how on this island the missions are way more covert and stealthy, And the bit where you have to interrogate "that person" just shows how much Jason has changed, also i don't like how Dennis is speaking now....."the rakyat are your family now" alright mate calm down

tbh this was a far better stealth game than pretty much all the assassin's creed games, and it wasn't even really trying to be one

Didn't mean to make it sound that way, I am enjoying it immensely, and the story is better than a lot of other games. I haven't completed it yet though, I played most of yesterday but didn't get very far because I'm having so much fun just exploring

He makes the game soooo much more for me. The voice acting is just excellent. I feel like I'm watching a film half the time.

The bit where you and Liza get kidnapped and he sets the building on fire... That bit, I swear he actually fucking scared me when he started shouting and shit.

One thing i found quite enjoyable/funny/annoying is sailing out into the sea and going for a dive, only to get eaten by sharks seconds later

playin it, haven't done much, just the first mission or two i think, quite liking it.
when people were talking about how the guys isn't a solider, mayne, i was expecting his abilities to be limited until you improved.
but nah, aims a gun perfectly and kills without saying anything from the first moment lol
obviously you can better develop through cutscenes but is kind of a letdown
also his file says he took like 8 skydives in the past year but he shakes on the top of towers

I dont think that's him shaking, i think it's the wind b2b the tower being very old and pretty much fallen apart.

I know what people are saying though, they definitely could've developed the character more in terms of how he progresses mentally. I can get past that though. I fucking love sneaking around with my bow and arrow hunting shit. Makes me feel like arnold in predator
