Don't think he has a firm grasp of how social media works though seeing as he retweeted pirate links to his album the other day!

I've met him in real life once. Really nice but can't help but think that he's been told to be nice to get far in life. Comes across as a bit fake at times.

fucking lol at the retweet.

What actually happened? Dubway forgot to pay the bills?!

I guess the domain name just wasn't set to auto renew, so the expiry date passed and the domain was redirected until renewed. I'm not involved with the owning/hosting of the site though.
pretty much

we're back now though :w:

Saw the Scuba & Joe Nice tweets this weekend and the first thing I thought was: really? You're really gonna write off an entire community just because it's changed and become more inclusive, like most any scene does if allowed to evolve far enough?

TBH (and not like they care,) my opinion of those guys has fallen a notch or two.

Because here's the thing: if you're really so fucking above it all and we're all nothing but brainless cretins here in DSFland, then... stop trying to market to the brainless cretins here. GTFO. Go market somewhere else with your unquantized synth stabs over a stale 4/4. I sure don't care about you, that's for sure.

Bye. :Q:

What I don't understand is why people have to constantly mention their hate for this place or how its changed and now shit. If you don't like it and don't come on here why do you have to announce so publically on a regular basis (not all of them).

It also shows how self centered a lot of these people are, fair enough it may not be a place that helps you/interests you because, shock horror, their may be some negative opinions.. but its still a helpful place for people for numerous reasons. Also I wonder what the vinyl sales would be like if this place didn't exist? I know I got a lot more into the scene after joining here and is one of the reasons I brought turntables and now spend the majority of my money on vinyl.

Its sort of snobbish, like when a poor person becomes rich and turns their nose up at the lower class lol.

what i found funny is how quickly they realized dsf was down though. like - you say dsf has been dead for ages, yet you realize it's down in less than two days?

No one mentioned pokes yet? I had a chat once with him about this place when I met them but I don't really remembered anything about it because I got next level drunk afterwards.

It's all about there egos to be honest. This is still a god dam valuable forum, whether they like it or not. I must say some parts of the forum has died down a bit, i.e the production side, and that is the brutal truth. Back in the days the production threads use to be amazing, and very informational not to mention. Nowadays its mostly died, but you can't cry over split milk. The NSFW is fun as aways, the dub section is still good and i always get my mixes from here.

This is still the spot to be!

And big up to pete, he's always supporting this forum and coming up with ideas.
A brand new song!
