I loved that mash-up album with Jay-Z...*shudder*

Essential 90's albums:

Illmatic
Metalheadz Platinum Breakz Vol 1
Endtroducing
Protection by Massive Attack
Leftism
Music For The Jilted Generation

I really wanna say Source Direct - Exorcise The Demons, but their singles were a lot stronger than their album.

Hybrid Theory could have been an amazing album if it wasnt for the lyrics. Production on that shit was tight imo

edit: also around the fur and aenima as well on essential 90s, definitely if i was old enough back then

As an album 'Showbiz' shits all over 'Origin of Symmetry' from a great height tbh

*gets all nostalgic and dewy eyed about when Muse actually used to be quite good*

I would've listed both but thought that might be OTT. Tbh, hullabaloo is probably better than both. Live show recording AND all the b-sides.

90's music is awesome.

Can't believe no-one's put this up yet. You all owned it, don't lie.

What's The Story Morning Glory - Oasis

If you didn't have that, you had this:

Blur - Parklife

This is an album from my youth that I used to listen to religiously. Back in the days when smackheads could sing!
Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
Image

Also classic 90's MTV fodder:

Pearl Jam - Ten
Image

And I'll stick this in too - big up the grunge!

Nirvana - Unplugged

This just about makes it in, was released in 99! :O Seemed like everyone I knew owned this.

Dr. Dre - 2001

Nirvana - Nevermind (In Ureto was good but not as good IMO, though I can see why many like it better. Producion is way better on In Ureto though, but Bleach is just shite)
Beck - Mellow Gold + Odelay
N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Faith No More - The Real Thing (1989. If Bleach counts, this does too)
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
Weezer - Pinkerton + The Blue Album
The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing

90's had fuckin' awesome music.

Honary Mentions:
Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime (came out in '84 but it was sorta undiscovered until Nirvana and the like blew up)
DSF's resident pleb
Soundcloud

Fucking Linkin Park are shit anyway. People saying everyone secretly liked them are just lying to themselves to pretend that they weren't idiots.

Forgot to say that my post was leaving out what was already said as there are a few albums mentioned that I would count (though some that I think is over rated bollocks. Guess which ones)

You weren't 12 when they were big though.
