Knowing when to stop/ over playing your own project.

Noisia only release about 5% of their tracks, so I'd assume they find beyond too many faults than they'd like in most tracks they just throw up. So it's rather common that 99% of top producers have faults in most, if not all of their tracks.

lol. it dosent make me feel any better tbh 90% of the dubstep scene is just shameless sampling of the 'big' guys
you always be better than someone and worse than someone i just cant stand the fact of begin worst thats why i delete tunes that often

I don't think i've ever finished a track without thinking it's shit and that I should've fixed all those imperfections.

Then when I haven't heard it for a while and see dance floors noticeably react (positively) to the track, weirdly, I start to like it again

It's natural to get bored of it, working quickly is the key - that's just really hard to master, properly.

first of all i've been producing for 4 years now,
i was making ambient/downtemp at first but then i discovered the ambient side of dubstep which was really beautiful thing to me so i decided go that way anyway let's get to the point..
so i finish a tune that i really like and just feel like aigh im ready to post it. and i do so and i get good respond from people saying it is beutiful but after awhile i feel like this tune is just bad and feel 'ashamed' of it
so every once in a while i delete all my tunes on soundcloud and keep producing on a low profile till i get that im ready feeling again and after awhile i realise i'm not

Yes! I think as you get better your expectations also go up, then it gets harder to satisfy yourself. Not a bad thing imo, being your own worst critic. It's better than someone who thinks their terrible music is great!

Try to focuss less on making a fucking great tune and just experiment with music, try to have fun doing that.
I try to finish a track every week, not to put it on the interwebs and show what i got but just to learn as much as possible.

When i started off i thought some of my shit was not that bad, now i think it's terrible. Yet, i think thats what i will think about my tracks i made lately in two months or so.

It's a hobby, a passion or whatever, treat it like that bro. What's the point of doing something you dont like?

If you can loop something over and over even when it's a 16bar beat with a sub underneath it, it's a keeper. If you can't, ditch the track and recycle the parts or send it to someone else for a collab. Doesn't really matter in how much time you finish it, but you gotta be 100% with every part of the final product.

Man been producing for a while as well since 2008 and am always feeling like that too , when I start a project I will try to finish it but at the end never do anything with it ,but there is one thing that motivates me is getting better , discovering new sounds (electronic) so you can mix that with your style.It will allow you to get better tracks and it will give you the feeling you wen't further on making your newest tracks.

I've given up on TRYING to make a track, sitting down with the intention to make a great tune. Instead I sit down and try to learn the most I possibly can about something, a technique perhaps. Friday just gone I spent an entire morning messing around with polyrhythms and ostinatos - I remembered what it was like to enjoy producing! Then, if you find some inspiration in learning the new techniques, the production will just flow.

Kinda yeah, polyrhythms is when you have two rhythms in contrasting time signatures. A popular polyrhythm is to have kick and snare in 4/4 then hats in 3/8.
Basically, the hats would hit on 12th notes, whilst the kick and snares would hit on 16th notes. Giving syncopation, rather than randomly placing syncopation.
You don't have to do it with just percussion though, writing a melody in 3/8 and placing it over a 4/4 drum pattern sounds awesome.
