I have pro-gun views for the most part, but even I think it's completely fucked up to have the legal right to shoot someone because they bitched you out in a fight. That ain't right, regardless of what kind of person Trayvon was or wasn't.

Furthermore, I don't blame Trayvon for pre-emptively flipping out on Zimmerman, if he did - I'd b angry/on edge about being followed by some idiot who clearly isn't police, as well.

At this point, I'm just waiting to see if there are going to be riots or hwut.

but yeah some of u have been tuning in to too many liberal sources. the fucking media totally fucked this case up, like showing him when he was like 11 on TV. good thing the court of law doesnt tolerate that kind of bias shit. he was an athletic kid who probably would have killed or seriously injured zimmerman if he had not been shot.

there were a few robberies or something before so zimmerman had a reason to be suspicious. trayvon went insane on his ass and he has the injuries to prove it. stand your ground law is what is gonna help zimmerman here. but it doesnt matter if zimmerman walks or not. he's fucked both ways. if he walks he will get murdered i fucking guarantee it. prolly gonna be some riots too. the media painted him as some white skinhead izan killing an angel of a kid who never did anything wrong. so good job to the media for fucking this guys life up before he was even judged in a court of law

How is it complex? Some guy who wasn't law enforcement was racially profiling, decided to take action himself, and a kid walking home from the store is dead because of it.

well when you put it like that its was wonder why they are even having a trial with dozens of witnesses isn't it? i mean it's so obvious that zimmerman just came up on little baby trayvon and shot him dead for no reason at all. i mean, he even had the balls to wait for the police after murdering trayvon in cold blood!

please, look into the case more than just reading a headline.

even if he was racially profiling, which i cant imagine since trayvon had his hoodie up and it was dark and raining, it is not illegal for a citizen to racially profile someone. it is not illegal to follow someone. it is not illegal to ignore the advice of a dispatcher. sure, zimmerman was pretty dumb for following trayvon but zimmerman does have the right to use deadly force when he believes his life is in serious danger. zimmerman has the injuries to show that he was in danger. the only way zimmerman is being convicted is if the jury doesnt have reasonable doubt that he was defending himself. this situation sucks, but i think the law is on zimmerman's side.

You mean his story that is full of so many inconsistencies and flip flopping that he should be a politician? Injuries he wouldn't have sustained had he not been racially profiling and acting like a LEA by confronting someone?
Shit his "injuries" look tamer than a fall off a skateboard or a typical high school fist fight.
If he was being "overpowered" and "his life was in danger" how the hell did he manage to get his gun and shoot?
He didn't even have to take the stand because he blabbed so much pre-trial in interviews and his footage with cops to know the guy had no place doing what he was.
I don't know about you, but if I'm walking home at night in the rain and some guy is following me, doesn't identify who they are or if they're cops, if they approach me I'm going to be on the defensive and might even strike first if they don't state their intent.

the law just states that zimmerman needs to be in fear for his life. he doesn't even need injuries. if im walking home at night in the rain i can understand if someone is alarmed by my presence even if i dont have any illegal intent. if someone immediately goes for the violent option after someone approaches them then that is a problem. that is where trayvon fucked up, he got into a fight with zimmerman and was supposedly on top of him. trayvon had wounds on his knuckles so that supports zimmerman's story. he gave zimmerman a broken nose so i doubt he was trying to hold zimmerman's hands down to prevent him from reaching for his gun. he grabbed it and shot trayvon in the chest at point blank range.

zimmerman was wrong for following trayvon but trayvon was wrong for attacking zimmerman and unfortunately it cost him his life.

just showing that trayvon wasn't a perfect kid like the media portrays him to be. lots of people jumped to conclusions without knowing ALL the info about both of the people involved in this case, which is dangerous because now zimmerman's life is ruined no matter what happened. i mean, if you watched the news for the first few weeks after the incident, you would have thought that zimmerman was a racist who killed a 12 year old boy for no reason. that is how badly the story was skewed.

trayvons character factors HUGELY into what actually happened.

See that supports testimony only from one side, the other can't testify since they're dead. For all we know Zimmerman was the initial aggressor of the conflict, who just started losing the upper hand, and his actions up until the conflict certainly support that as a very plausible theory.
The man's own story doesn't match up to that though, and since he refused to take the stand all that's left is his police call, interviews with police, and interviews with media, all which have inconsistent and changing details.
Hell under that interpretation of the law Trayvon could have shot Zimmerman by that definition if he had been a conceal carry holder.
