I thought I had gone mad at first, when I saw the changes.

This the first time on any forum I've been on where I can say I genuinely like the ALL the changes:

The new color scheme is aesthetically pleasing, the bigup button a great idea, and the new text size and orientation work very well IMO. Also, I'm slightly nearsighted and wore glasses up until about 6 years ago (when they broke and I never got a new pair), so the text size works well. Like any change, it's a slight adjustment.

Big-up Administrators for the hard work.

All "boxes" from the sidebar goes at the bottom when screen size is small and that's intentional. But we could provide a button at the top in that case for "fast forward" scrolling to the bottom....

In the context of "long" posts: there is some space to get from margins, but that's it: horizontal scroller is not an option.

8)
Well there's about 7 inches of wasted space. That combined with the oversized font makes reading posts a huge pain. Why not have a floating horizontal div menu at the top that scrolls with you, and expands on mouseover which has all those sidebar menu options and search bar?

Looks disgusting on my iTouch screen. The rules box takes up a whole screen length that you have to scroll past. The titles are all crammed into about 2 words per line. Again, lot of margin space being wasted there. Title font too large again. You should be able to click on the thread icon on the side to go to the recent unread posts, or click on the rest of the panel to the right of that to go to the first page. You wouldn't need to have the title so big if the whole div apart from the icon was a link to the first page. Nobody on mobile is gonna be zooming in and sniping a page number anyways. It looks much better horizontal but there's still about 3/4ths of an inch of wasted space.

are the only options now (a) the horrible new garish thing (b) the horrible old prosilver skin?

looks like I'll have to take option (c) not go on dubstepforum anymore - in order to save myself from migraines. It's been real, but I value my retinas.

Should maybe switch on the bigups notifications in the user control panel?

New layout is nice. Definitely needs some cleaning up on the colour scheme and typography front though, my eyes kind of hurt after reading this thread.

If you need the hand of a designer/developer, I will happily donate my time.

All in all it's a good look.

Only things I'd alter have been mentioned already:

1. Colours are a bit bright
2. Font is a bit big
3. Side bar is far too big

New design looks nice, my suggestions are

The option to minimize main and user menus, for wider posts
Post borders and thread titles should be thicker / bolder, everything looks like one big post
Probably should use darker colours, the current ones would be a pain for late night posting
