No, I used to manage an internet radio station on Capitol Hill and the studio was right underneath those towers. NPR was notorious for getting picked up by the wire. We even built a Faraday cage because of it, balanced cables for everything that could take them etc.
Come to think of it, my bass amp in my apartment a mile away on Cap Hill would pick up NPR as well.
I live in central seattle, so it makes since that of you picked u shit there that I would get shit here.

Why yes it does. I couldn't find the scene on youtube(it even auto completes the search for it but yields nothing) but they're playing at an air force base and his guitar picks up the radio too. and everybody thought they were 'spinal tarp' XD

My old Numark turntables (could have been the Behringer mixer) used to pick up what sounded like a German radio station. Was rather stoned the first time I heard it so naturally I questioned my sanity!
