That is what came out of the mouth of a little white blonde kid about 13 on a bus in Cheshire (an affluent part in north west of England), after his mate begged to get on the bus without his bus pass.

It was abstract to fuck.

Excuse me, excuse me! You can read all about it in our wonderful newspaper!
I don't think slang is really a problem, every generation has slang terms.. bit of a generation identity. However 'woz' is straight up retarded. I know loads of people who don't use slang and talk properly but don't know the difference between they're, there and their. Spelling education is pretty dire in this country.
Also fuck all these (British) goons spelling stuff with a Z like realize or spelling colour as color or putting 'math'. Clearly their spelling education has come from autocorrect.

what's wrong with 'like' and 'extra'? That pretty much rules out similes and describing a surplus of something

I don't think they're banning the use of extra when used in proper context - "I bought some extra condoms because your Mum was coming over and I didn't want to touch her without double-bagging" , it's the dodgy context that tha kidz seem to use instead of excessive "banning our slang seems a bit fucking extra".
Newcastle's fucked if we're going to start frowning on using "like" too much though, like.

In Glasgow folk end sentences with 'but' instead of 'like'.
If you are now in your head trying to end a sentence with but and thinking, that doesn't sound right, why the fuck would they ever do that? You're not alone but.
It upsets me like

I've genuinely never heard extra used in that context

Slang banned from Croydon school to improve student speech
Slang such as "ain't", "innit" and "coz" has been banned from a school in south London to try to help students find future employment.
Harris Academy Upper Norwood said it implemented the initiative to allow its students to "express themselves confidently and appropriately".
Pupils heard using "informal language" will be asked to "reflect" on it.
Other banned words include "like", "bare" and "extra" and the phrases "you woz" and "we woz".
Starting sentences with "basically" and ending them with "yeah" is also considered to be too informal at the Croydon school.
'It's wrong'
In a statement, the school said: "In addition to giving students the teaching they need to thrive academically, we want them to develop the soft skills they will need to compete for jobs and university places.
"This particular initiative is just one of the many ways in which we are building the vocabulary of our students and giving them the skills they need to express themselves confidently and appropriately for a variety of audiences."

Take me back to the days when everything was top
then things were pretty dark or sick
the occasional good thing was even mint
Things taking an unnecessary amount of time were a mission or mish tobe replaced by long
Those days were joke
