Dude ive been trying to make those riddim basses in your tune below and i cant come close.... Ive been using fm8 but i cant seem to get the right operator and cent settings, plus the correct amount of fx. Ive been struggling for so long to get some stuff like that.PhaserBass wrote:I usually make my basses with Harmor or DX10. Heavily phasered riddim basses are fairly easy with Harmor and the correct fx and eq. With DX10 you can make surprisingly powerful wonky fm basses by twisting knobs and using a harmonic exciter on the low end.

Could you post a bit more detail or any tips because it would be much appreciated

On another topic, ive decided to make a mega fx audio rack in ableton to cut production time and modulation time down immensely. Not sure how its going to go but im literally going to throw a lot of plugins, mostly stock and others not. Then assigning macros and macros on each other to a control center thing for main things like notches, amp, saturator, etc.
To make different sound within the rack ill just adjust certain setting so like for example a phaser frequency and rate or something like that. Ill spend a couple days on it. Should end up something similar to xy controller. Ill post a thread with a download with any ableton heads out there
