Played a sample of the tunes on the vinyl page... Demonator does not sound like I remember it. The bassline's been lowered, and the added percussion is just not my taste.

Oh well, still, Demonator is alright and Indian Girl is huge.

I don't blame him, he may've just wanted to refix the tune, I guess.

I just don't like how he just heavily edits releases like that. He has a history of doing so, though... he edited the basslines in Prototypes and Bedouins (took off the highs). I do find it cool how Coki was able to take a headbanger and turn it into a shuffly track. Just pisses me off a bit that he edited the tune so heavily. But it's his tune and his release, if people like it better that way, it's their opinion.

Indian Girl was left intact.

EDIT: I actually like the percussion now that I listen back to it. Not that bad. The bassline is fucking ridiculous, as usual

Theres a possibility hes not 'refixing' or changing things on purpose but Chef/himself or whoever else is playing it just has an unfinished version. If anybody was gunna have unfinished tunes played its probably cokes.

Sends Chef an early version of Demonator asking what he thinks.. next thing its on youtube.

I think thats more likely than he makes tunes then purposely changes them before releasing.

I've never really thought about it that way... I do recall it surfacing in 2010 and getting the same version played a year later (N-Type's 10th anniversary show)... I digged the version without the percussion, unfinished or otherwise, a little better than the finished version.

But yeah, you could be right. DJ's play unfinished dubs all the time, I do myself.
