We don't need to go to the future to find a dystopia. As an aside, I don't believe in a future for humanity, I see a notopian future, and that is not out of some kind of fucked desire, it is based on a reasonable projection of future human development in light of current technological, political, economic and moral factors.

In regards to this thread, I am describing the state of affairs as they are now, and have been in America. And I see future parallels if the EU continues consolidation, that is all. I don't have any political position on this other than it sucks being controlled through the voting habits of a mass of sick, unhappy, ignorant energy suckers.

Quite right. With more people living longer than ever before and a lower proportion than ever dying through violence, it really is an absolute HELL on Earth right now. If only we could go back 200 years and die of cholera whilst working as effective slaves in the Satanic mills.

Ah, that other sort of "reasonable" that's completely out of line with everything humanity has been through for the last 10,000 years of civilisation. If one thing's always happened - it's that we've survived.

You mean your fellow humans?

Thanks for the concern, nowaysj.

Why would you like to portray me as uncaring? What does that fulfill for you?

Yes, they are my fellow humans, but they are also my fellow countrymen. People who have allowed the darkness in themselves to manifest an external darkness that has brought suffering from pole to pole, and only as a prelude. A beast is rising in America, if you don't see it, I can't help you see it.

You have a linear mind Magma, and it serves you, but you draw a straight line between first fire and Hiroshima; you miss the spirals.

I didn't use the word uncaring, I merely pointed out that those "sick, unhappy, ignorant bloodsuckers" are your fellow humans and as such have the same motivations, desires, needs and failures as you. But since you brought it up; seeking the best possible food and shelter for one's family seems perfectly human - and as migration becomes easier with modern technology, the numbers involved and distances travelled will naturally be further; however it's the effort to dehumanize migrant workers, benefit claimants and economic refugees as some sort of societal parasite that seems like inhumanity to me.
People who have allowed the darkness in themselves to manifest an external darkness that has brought suffering from pole to pole, and only as a prelude. A beast is rising in America, if you don't see it, I can't help you see it.
What does this mean? How can I see it if you only ever allude to it in new age waffle? If you look at the cold, unpassionate numbers relating to current human existence, we're in a vastly better place than we've been in documented history. But perhaps you have some secret knowledge that you, like all the other doom-mongers online are unwilling to actually... explain?

I don't know what this means either.

This. Bring back workhouses, that'll sort the poor out.

:6:

Also, the current system does need reform, and our power to non-violently do that through democratic means is being eroded by the sheer cuntishness of the current political and business elites.

Things are getting better when you look at the big picture, but there's always room for improvement Magma. Not everything's shiny happy brilliant yay capitalism for everyone...

It is your implication, and it is uncharitable, and does not resemble the Magma you want to see looking back at you from the mirror. :a:

magma wrote: I pointed out that those "sick, unhappy, ignorant bloodsuckers" are your fellow humans and as such have the same motivations, desires, needs and failures as you.
I'm not sure that they do, in my case, or in our case. But I think that is irrelevant to this thread or this discussion.

magma wrote:as migration becomes easier with modern technology, the numbers involved and distances travelled will naturally be further;
This is more to the point, and my only point is that they likely won't have to travel in the future, you can go to work all day to produce the value that you can send directly to Bulgaria or Romania. The people can stay where they are, it is the money that will migrate. My only point. Put whatever political/moral value on that, that you will.
magma wrote:however it's the effort to dehumanize migrant workers and economic refugees as some sort of societal parasite that seems like inhumanity to me.
It seems that you are directing that to me. Fuck that. My family on EVERY side are all economic or political refugees who said fuck this and left their entire world, when migration and communication were primitive, essentially leaving for another planet. My progenitors had sack, maybe more than I have, and I respect them greatly for that. Quite a thing to leave your world behind.

What does this mean?
For reference see the American Civil War, and the way in which racial bigotry was exploited to give rise to the corporatism that is consuming the world.

You see it for your damn self  If you are being anally raped by a group of angry silverbacks, and you don't notice it, I'm just going to go ahead and not mention it. :Q:

:a: I don't rely on numbers, too easy to lie with numbers. See Jah Rastafari, Ethiopian Goatherd, Vortex Based Math threads :cornlol:

It is no secret.

I apologise unreservedly for being uncharitable by implying you might be... uncharitable.

I still don't understand what you're trying to say. More than happy to leave it though.

Exactly, you implied I was being something that I was not. Thank you, big man to apologize.

So sincerely.

It's this sort of liberal cowardice that has allowed the global benefits system to get into such a mess as it is.

True, I do do that a lot these days. I blame the language thing, less distractions but at the same time less people to vent at if required.

imo if you want to go to another country just to claim benefits you're a tnuc and should be instantly denied

and yeah, gypsies do the same shit here; pump out loads of kids just for child benefits. obvs not every single roma family is like that, but they're viewed as a problem here just as much. there's one city that has a wall separating the roma neighbourhood from the rest of the town
