I am a medical user as well, with cannabis replacing medical heroin (dilaudid) for pain control. The effects are not the same - opiates turn off all feeling, so you don't feel the pain but you don't feel much else either. Cannabis doesn't deal directly with the pain so much as my attitude toward the pain, which is hard for some folks to understand, but it really really helps. A lot. A lot a lot.

This is one of the main reasons I use it for as well. I personally do not like being too high, so usually one or two puffs is all I need to take the edge off.

I think the quality of the high is directly correlated with the quality of the bud.

I also think that it affects people differently.


I personally am not a huge fan of pot because it gives me the shakes...
But I am also highly allergic to certain things - like penicillan...

thats a blatant lie lol. I like the idea of smoking and playing games, but even normal driving around in games feels frustrating and like it goes too fast when I'm high.

dunno if its easy to get it where you are from jaydot, and if it is easy, can you get a good quality product?

if the answers are yes and yes, the next step would be to try a sativa strain, and not an indica strain. sativa usually gives a high that is kind of energetic. if i ever smoke which is still rare, i only smoke good quality sativa because, just like you and many others, i get paranoid, along with other side effects which i do not enjoy. a good strain i have found to like is diesel crack. no paranoia, but lots of laughs.

edit: i also roll something up or use a vaporizer, i never hit bongs or anything like that. if i did, sativa or not i would get entirely too high. controlled amounts to take is key for me, might be the same for you.

i genetically stress a lot, over dumb shit. it's a real pain in the ass. weed takes the edge off for me. i feel like most people experience what i do and drink alcohol as a reliever but i just like weed so much more. i've been smoking for so long now i'm pro at functioning while high so i'm not like jim breuer in half baked.
