Yeah I guess Reason or Ableton will do it but I'd really like something that looks EXACTLY like the AKAI 2000.. that would be so great...feasible_weasel wrote:reason or apleton livedjpatchwork wrote:while we're all here... i just bought an MPD off my partner (because he got too frustrated trying to figure it out)... and i've got a couple questions...
first off are there any easy tutorials on how to use it (outside the manual)...
...and second off is there any sort of program that emulates an MPC 2000 (or something) that i can hook up to my MPD and use just like an actual sampler (as opposed to a midi controller?)... because that would be amazing... if i were able to tap out a beat on the pad and see an MPC on my computer screen.....
thanks for any help on the subject...

he as a 2500 and he thought his 500 was a waste
but he had his 2500 first. he said they were incompatable and he never travels.
I'd save up for the 1000

Yeah but the MPC1000 screen seems massive compared to the 500:TeReKeTe wrote:the lack of the screen is one of the best parts of the mpc-- just use yr ears. only thing that sucks is always scrolling thru sounds and such.Auan wrote:Can't really see myself sequencing anything on that tiny screen, I'd say wait for the 1000.

Just using your ears is nice, I got into that with Renoise, but sooner or later, you gotta have something to look at.

Thanks guys... I think that is going to help a lot... I don't have my MPD on me but I downloaded GURU and am going to give it a spin when I get home from this Chemical Brothers gig tonight! Now if I could just get fucking Traktor to work I'd be in great shape lol...
