PDX2000s were another, that ultra pitch was ridiculous break manipulation. Even the top of the range Gemini (can't remember the model) was on point, they had two sliders, one for pitch locking the mix. Though the top plate on that was a little cluttered IIRC.

What do you have?
Think it was Stanton from what I remember?

Oh, The Stantons are pretty good but I really don't like the pitch control on them.

Ha funny u should mention it wub, iv got the old top of the range Gemini, PDT 6000. Features, torque etc are nuts. Had em for over 10. Years and they still smash it. Crowded top plate, yes, but doesn't cause any issues in practice

PDT 6000 that's the one.
Yeah, Gemini had torque nailed even at the lower models. Same with Citronic, my old PD2s were pretty much identical to 1200s with the exeption of a 10/20% pitch and 78rpm option

The 78rpm option is cool but generally with the pitch control that can be switched like that you have this feeling of the control not being continuous kind of like how on a cdj it goes in increments.

you can run in analogue as well too, which i always have, as playing vinyls digitally would be silly
as for the increments, they are so small.... 0.1 is always the smallest things need to be adjusted by, and usually more like 0.2 adjustments

I'd buy them, but I imagine they aren't going to be cheap and my numark's are doing me alright atm, hideous for keeping pitch but means everytime i mix on 1210's i'm pretty good

tbh I'm very very happy they decided to enter the TT market. I never liked the idea of the industry standard deck being out of production. Hopefully it inspires more clubs to get TTs and hopefully they aren't too expensive!

It's not like he dislikes Vivek or something.

I'm sure Pioneer know their market but I still think this TT will be a hard sell if it is as overpriced as their CDJs, considering how cheaply you can get hold of second hand Technics.
For what it's worth, these are the best turntables still in production imo:

True heads don't have anything but Technics, IMO
Gemini - plastic, baby toy
Stanton - plastic EDM toy
Numark - homemade, plastic, brostep

there are no other advantages to vinyl iirc

They are classic pieces of machine
No arguing there
They may not 'spin it hardest' in the torque tractor pulling comp but they are the best.
True heads do not have anything but
Kind of like having a PC laptop
lol fuk
