Actually, there's lot of cross-cultural phenomena that just can't be achieved by experiencing it, because you can't, you know?

Supernatural by Graham Hancock is a great introduction to how shamanistic trances and alien abduction experiences are essentially identical if you strip out the ethnocentric interpretations.

The rate of 'not normal' experiences for humans is actually probably really high, about 1 in 50 people will have at least one fucking weird currently unexplainable experience.

Well, kinda.

If the concept of same sex never existed in society then not AS many people would realize that they're attracted to the same sex, they would just shove the idea out of their head.

Not to say its wrong or they shouldn't think or feel like that but there has to be a trigger.

I don't even believe in sexual orientation - I just believe that we'll just find people who make us feel special and we fall in love, I think any man/woman can be knocked over sideways be the right person, no matter of gender.

The same sort of thing for transgender. Sure you'd have people who just are but there wouldn't be as many as their are if there wasn't exposure of it.

Plus anyone who is truly what they say they are don't have to go on fucking film and tell people about it. They're just the attention grabbers.

Again, transgender is THE PHYSICAL BRAIN OF ONE SEX in the BODY of the other. It's a physical condition Children form gender identity between the ages of 3 - 5. So when physical boys are transgendered, they will gravitate towards identifying as a woman at that age. Boys will feel uncomfortable peeing standing up, want to grow out their hair and wear dresses, etc.

Homosexuality too is the result of physical stimuli. It's widely believed that the hormones a baby is subjected to in the mother's womb play a part. There are more physical markers that can suggest homosexuality. Also the fact that we see homosexuality in nature, especially among our closest relatives, indicates that it has a somatic origin.

You don't require knowledge of transgederism or homosexuality to know. They're innate impulses.

With otherkin, you need knowledge of the animal in question. You don't see otherkin relating to animals we haven't discovered yet or have yet to evolve; they usually pick pretty boring animals that are culturally symbolic of something else (freedom, strength) Otherkin are not born with the physical brain of a wolf in a human's body. I think my previous post explaining otherkin as a form of dissocation is the most accurate one. In fact, I remember seeing a mini-doc about a furry who described that being a furry helps them deal with every dat anxieties. They're using being a furry to flee from what they believe are human deficit.

I just googled it and it returns MANY results about dissociation in relation to otherkin.

It's not the same thing.

Big Up

Want to hear an interesting story?
When Graham Hancock was writing that book he came and did a talk at our local University because he was researching lots of the rock paintings in the Gamtoos Valley.
I did not know this at the time as he was discussing under water phenomenon.
But at the end of the talk I asked what his feelings were regarding the evolution of man and the role that Psychedelics namely Mushrooms played in this evolution.
He gave me rather surprised look, smiled and referenced me to an author who was assisting him in the Gamtoos Valley.
I can't remember the book but it was fascinating.
Imagine my surprise when Supernatural was released.
