St Andrews, lively? I didn't think it would be, I could be wrong, although I've no been there for years since I was like 14 or something, I remember it being full of golfers (obviously).

Beautiful place though, with a beach and it's a top uni. Doubt there'll be much in the way of decent nights there, pretty sure there's no clubs, hell of a lot of pubs though.

yeah that was tongue in cheek liam, sorry for the lack of smilies- i think there's one club up there

idk what you like doing op but if you want to get off the beaten track i think you should actually visit burnley or somewhere like that, treat it as a chance to embrace an alien culture. if you pay the locals enough they perform wardances for you and make handmade friendship bracelets for you and your pals

Yeah! Didn't you know? They might come up occasionally but they're based down there now... it's funny watching all the southeners in the vids of their gigs...

If you go to Leeds there's shit loads of bars and clubs. The students have nights every weekday which is good for cheap booze but I recommend the proper bars and club nights, there's a Leeds thread somewhere but Gwa is the one in the know for everything because I haven't been there for over two years now...

Toucan is the best Guinness in LDN if you come all the way down here.

Better than Guinness factory Dublin n that bs IMO

(best Guinness i find is in limerick for some reason)

There's a "streetart" festival called city of colors on in Birmingham on 4/5th September

Going to be pretty monumental by the looks of things, there'll be music and art all over digbeth for the day, if you like Guinness the old crown should satisfy your needs !

lmao, everyone in the UK hates everyone in the UK if they are from anything further than a 5 mile radius around them, then from therein they hate based on religion/football club support/hair color/social status/beer prefference/willingness to fight/unwillingness to fight based on various differences/potential things said in a hypothetical about someones mum, from what I can tell on my limited travels there. How does that even work on a practical level, how does your social fabric not fall apart into chaos every 2 days?

Its funny because it seems like most people on this board have an all compassing and singular idea in mind about "Americans" yet it seems like you U.K guys have social distinctions for just about every street in your country.

This is just one state mind you:

It doesn't work on a practical level, that's why the country's in such shit. The politicians get off on the newspapers telling everyone how shit everyone they're not is, it's all a massive masquerade for rich people to pull the strings to get everyone to shaft each other up the arsehole. I left, it's well better outside the country.

The only place shitter would be America though, fuck that
