ever think....
Maybe they use the same gear?
Maybe you should take another listen to your OTHER dubstep tracks...
Notice anything similar in any of them??
Perhaps its because everyone who produces dubstep (and their mothers) have a Virus!
I love the Virus, but this a too much of a preset friendly audience...

lol why does everyone shit them selves as soon as someone voices a "controversial" opinion...
at the end of the day, the fashion at the moment seems to be to make a "im crazy i am" type bassline. if rusko sounds like skream or skream sounds like rusko theres not really a problem is there, just a sign of the times
edit: lol! i just rememberd hearing ruskos tune "love is real" of his new ep the other day and remembering it sounds proper influenced by a tune i wrote called electro love about 6 months ago which also had smooth pads, chopped female vocals and booming jungle bassline not to mention the title was similar... most likely just paranoia though...
or a post modern acton ting who knows...
anyway big up skream and rusko, heavy producers trying new things

That's fuel for a sensational headline if even I read one.....thesynthesist wrote:Perhaps its because everyone who produces dubstep (and their mothers) have a Virus!

Yea I couldn't have put that better myself ThinKingThinKing wrote:you think Skreamz isn't getting the props he deserves? Nah...Little Messa wrote:THE MAIN REASON IVE BROUGHT THIS UP IS COS SKEAM SHOULD BE GETTIN MORE RATINGS THAN HAS BEEN RECENTLY. . .
I think there's room for both Ruskie Banton and Skream myself, they might be on a similar tip sometimes, but if you can't tell the difference then listen closer.

WAKE THE FUCK UP your chattin rubbish, rusko and skream have both got unique styles that no one can test, they may both use fruity but in no way does rusko rip off skream.Little Messa wrote:NOT TRYIN TO START NO BEEF BUT IS I T JUST ME OR DOES RUSKO'S BASS SOUND LIKE IT'S RIPPING OFF SKREAM.

rusko doesn't use fruity
and there are more similarities in productions from differend producers, but thats normal.
and probably will happen more in the future, untill the point you can't tell the difference to 5 producers and then hopefully a new genre pops up

I beg to differ with Little Messa. If you listen to wobble basses, they all have that 'wub' sound anyway. Unless somebody comes up with a bass with some sound like 'sham' or 'balalala' or something different.Strife wrote:WAKE THE FUCK UP your chattin rubbish, rusko and skream have both got unique styles that no one can test, they may both use fruity but in no way does rusko rip off skream.Little Messa wrote:NOT TRYIN TO START NO BEEF BUT IS I T JUST ME OR DOES RUSKO'S BASS SOUND LIKE IT'S RIPPING OFF SKREAM.
