would be dope to hear it by a dnb DJ at clubscoz wrote:I paid £1 with a view to possibly getting the boxed set thing if I liked it. Not sure at the moment if I'm willing to fork out £40 though. I think I'll have to give it a few more listens to decide. The first track D'n'Biness is a bit odd to me though.

3 things I miss most from the UK... swede, cider and the music scene!
on radio one they were doing a poll and found 28% of people paid zilch and i think about 25% paid around 7 quid
the whole idea is good but can only work with a band who have an established fanbase
i think the fact that people won't even pay £1 for an authentic copyright-friendly quality-download album by a band like this sucks eggs

I've heard its more conservative than their more recent albums, not sure how excited i am about it. I loved everything from OK Computer onwards, and was hoping for a fairly electronic album, but the london lite (most reliable source for music knowledge in the world, obviously) was praising how straightforward rock-y it was.
Thing is i want a physical product, i hate buying mp3's, Thom's even expressed that opinion himself, so its kinda annoying that the vinyl and cd versions cost so much.

brilliant album, all about House of Cards
- listened to it 4 times now and the productions so good, new things jumping out on every listen. Was obviously gutted to hear it was gonna be a 160k file but the encoding must be nxt lvl as you cant really tell.
After I got my email with the link I checked the torrent's and within an hour it was on Demonoid, all I can say is this is the way to leak an album, at least your guaranteed some revenue from downloading and some interesting internal dialogue whilst people decide what to pay, oooo morals.

YES, House of Cards is my current favourite tune from the new album, maybe it will change throughtout some listenings but for now definitely a great song.EFA wrote:brilliant album, all about House of Cards
The whole album it remains more reflective and ethereal than the back catalogue of the band though its definitely a great thing, the quality of the tunes are not that good and i will definitely need to listen to a proper audio so i can really take the real perception of the entire composition.
Read somewhere that all this hype around the possibility of downloading the album it was a global marketing strategy from the band itself, apparently this is the final artwork for the CD that will see the light for the next year.

Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

It's not bad, some nice bits - Nude (actually an OK Computer out-take),
All I need, Videotape.. a couple of others I like quite a lot. The happiest
record so far I reckon, certainly not the best but still well worth getting.
Really want the second CD now, but bollocks to paying that much for it.
Im told they're releasing a normal double cd at some point, hope so! : )

That Various remix is great, much prefer it to the original!!Slim wrote:I wasn't feeling it that much really, i dunno the vocal just didn't seem to work that well. The Modeselektor remix of Skip Divided is bloody brilliant, Various' version of Analyse is nasty, and Surgeon's remix of The Clock is good too. Kinda hope they are on it, but i do wanna hear other versions of them. I wanna know what track Burial is remixing.jah pat wrote: the bug's version of harrdown hill is sick
Haven't heard the Bug's version of Harrowdown Hill, but
the extended mix on the 'Spitting Feathers' EP kicks ass.
Burial's doing a Thom Yorke remix?! Can't wait to hear!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukythkK4EPQ - over 52 minute long exclusive studio vid, guys really did well in promoting the album and now what a showcase of their forthcoming live shows, it's awesome. they're fuckin legends

Got this a few days ago, finally, and to my surprise it's better than i thought it would be, I still think it's a shame they are back to being more traditional rock, i think Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief are their best albums, but it's still quite good.
A lot happier than previous stuff, and while not massively in the mood for a happy radiohead album, i appreciate the change of tone.
Nude is beautiful, 15 step sounds good, and Videotape is hypnotic.
Anyone heard the Amplive remix of Nude? That is a tune.

doesnt sounds like it to me but... its pretty experimental for their usual stuff.Forensics wrote:It's a big Boards of Canada rip-off! Decent track nonetheless
