Really? I think he comes across as a wanker. Not trying to dis.
He is like every thing kanye west is trying to be, but failing at. How is that not cool.

I have 3

GTA 5 has Flylo radio :corndance:
I don't think it has an OST, but I normally just mute the game, put some breakcore on, and shoot everybody.

Lots of modern games have OST's though, but they are like cinematic as tnuc. I want vidya games to stay true to their language. Also too much fucking cut scenes, and story, i would watch a fucking film if I wanted that.

Dreamcast was the last proper console made, though sage megadrive is king.
2 keyboards 1 computer

SO fucking jokes. Fucking cut scenes. Used to use them to load other content in the background, now you have to wait to load the cut scene. I love when they won't let you skip it. Like, NO YOU WILL WATCH THIS UTTER FUCKING WANK BULLSHIT. I swear to god, I've turned off so many games when they wouldn't let me skip that shit. Like I ain't got time for that. The whole point of playing a game is so you can be active, you're not fucking watching a movie or tv. Yeah, I'll buy a $60 game and sit back for a few hours of CUT RATE voice acting that has absolutely NO dramatic impact or import to the game at all... I haven't played a video game for a few years though, just got too annoyed with everything.

tbh if i would buy final fantasy or metal gear solid and not get bombed with cheesy cutscenes i would be disappointed but yeah if you cant click them away it does suck
though there are maybe like only one or two games a year with a story not some god of war shit or metro and shit

Psyched. The previous episode though... not so much. I've been waning. I feel like the music was better, more pure at the earlier stages. Like the video game music stopped being video game music, and instead was just music in a video game, if you get meh.

Like the specific limitations and functions of the earlier music made it what it was, set it aside from other music, so as to be unique. Like that final fantasy stuff, okay, maybe it is good moving music, but it belongs to the wider context of music in general, and so is... forgettable.

Those limitations and external functions required the earlier music to be more pure... more fuck, I forgot the adjective and notion I had in mind. Refined. Pure. I don't know, lost it.

Wtf is with all this video game flylo shit? Just seems so forced, so obvious, and obviously incorrect.

this is an extremely important point, and is at the crux of the discussion regarding many different artistic styles and whether artistic and technological progression actually advances the artistic style in question or actually changes it into something different.

to use an example relevant to this forum look at "original dubstep" and compare it to "brostep". while it could be argued that "brostep" evolved out of "original dubstep" and therefore still exists within the original scope and classification of the style, it could conversely be argued that "brostep" differed so much both stylistically and aesthetically that it is actually entirely disconnected from "original dubstep".

I think the same thing is true for video game music (especially with the advent of streaming CD quality music).

*apologies for using extremely over generalised terms*
