I have the fostex PM1 monitors and the 0.5 sub. The monitors connect to the sub and the sub to my mixing desk. I guess you could connect directly from the sound card but I have not tried myself. Heavy speakers though.

Bloody heavy. The sub is huge and weights a ton. Looks nice and sounds even better though.
