okay, that's rough. in Zurich (roughly 1mil inhabitants in the metropolitan area), BSE sells out a 1200 capacity venue with ease. had about 500 odd people for Icicle in Basel (180k city), 280 for Mefjus. we're averaging on 250 people per night over all three years (including nights with only ~120 attendees for Sam Binga due to promotional errors and Hybrid Minds playing on the same night, drawing 300 punters, and of course our first couple of events with maybe 80 people in the building). I'm quite surprised to see such low turnout even for names that would get our spot rammed.

I think you are refering to a specific niche there Jrkhands, like the newer minimal stuff that Loxy and Dbridge etc where behind a few years ago. It's more art student, architects and people with nice clothes compared with the more mainroom stuff that seems a safer get, like Emperor etc... but interesting that it goes down well over at yours and imo good.
