He called it on the first day in class, after he'd assigned the first reading on him, "I know what we might know about someone we might have read about, it's bad, I know, but let's not let that get in the way of our work here" or something along those lines.

Keeping up on that exam though, I chickened out of writing that short essay I posted, got to the end of the first paragraph and bottled it. Did send it to him by email a few hours ago though. Could be fun to see this pan out.
