Its like a film before the time where humans where conscious enough to see life as a movie, or through the eyes of the observer. its observing the unobservant playing the parts of the theatre of creation/existence. I love it though it is wholly dark and is saved for certain times.BonerJams04 wrote:Begotten??? Really?butter_man wrote:begotten

Parallels of "getting a black mate so now he's enlightened" has happened though, so it's not entirely unrealistic. Each to their own I guess, but I thought it was good, and does about as much as you can with the "horrors of racism" angle as you can in under 2 hours, I reckon.Harkat wrote:American History X is a straight up bad movie too

Re: What are your favourite films?
a sick ending would have been to turn the whole thing into a full on action/revenge movie after the rape scene and just have one of those 15-20 fight scenes w/ edward norton's character vs the white power brosgarethom wrote:Parallels of "getting a black mate so now he's enlightened" has happened though, so it's not entirely unrealistic. Airplane 2 (dunno about this one, only seen it once and I haven't seen the original so I can't remember)

I love both There Will Be Blood and Mulholland Dr but they explore similar territory to Citizen Kane and Persona respectively so wanted to get some variation in there.
