Not really, only digital sounding cold stuff:xGannon wrote:To the OP anyway, any luck on making these sounds?
I've been making similiar stuff but in more of a dark, haunting vibe, like I said due to the scales in the melody

Don't have one :´(Samuel_L_Damnson wrote:If you want to make it sound more "analog" if u have a couple of guitar pedals lying about or maybe an amp, why not run it through the pedal or and amp (not really high settings or it will distort, unless u want that) then have that in parallel with the original. like just mix a bit of the amped sound with the digital sound. could give it a more rounded tone?
True dat, I use them all the time when I'm trying to make guitar-like synths. I did some edits and processing + tried to balance things out a bit, but I think that all the chopping work I did made it sound even less analog. Anyways, here's where I'm at now:Samuel_L_Damnson wrote:U could try that they arent bad!

Sounds really nice, but there's still that "flute-y" quality missing. Like if you listen from 4:02 onwards (where drums aren't playing), it literally sounds like some distorted flute sound, rather than a synth lead.Ascenic wrote:It's definitely the notes you play that matter. This is a really simple patch I made in like 10 seconds in Serum, just some detuned squares and saws with lots of chorus and stuff like that. But because I'm playing 9,000 Miles' notes, it sounds cool.

If anyone cares I'll upload the Serum patch but it really is simple. Heavily detuned square with like 10 voices, and detuned saws playing an octave above.
