Added bonus, it weeds out the lower classes who can't afford £30

Let em catch the phone recordings on youtube.

I don't really get the people who are saying 'just wait for the line up' surely it's pretty obvious the kind of djs that are gonna be playing not like there's gonna be any massive surprises.
I don't think the price by itself is particularly outrageous just that the ethos mala and that lot seem to subscribe to is completely at odds to making people pay £30 to 'meditate on bassweight', if you told mala ten years ago he would be charging this much for a night he would be very upset imo.

Lol @ Be-1ne saying 'bun dat' and he remembers it being £15... but not long ago was bigging up mushimushi
I assume its £30 due to costs not for the pure sake of ripping people off. Should be a ridiculous lineup.
Unless you're walking there and gunna be sober all night an extra £10 that will no doubt go to all the DJs involved isn't a problem in the grand scheme of things. In LDN thats like 2 beers.. in a night where most people will consume way more than 2.
Warehouse Project in Manchester is about £30 a ticket inc all the booking fees and shit and that turned out to be the cheapest part of my night every single time. Booze beforehand, travel and drink inside was always more than £30. At least some of that money goes to the people you're actually going to see.

this is what i don't get, it's pretty obvious roughly what the line up will be i don't get who could play that would make it ridiculous?Muncey wrote: Should be a ridiculous lineup.

^yeah lol in 8 birthday i was hyped when they said the two special guests thing because they did the same thing of "we mean really special" so i was thinking of some names outside the the dubstep crew like lee scratch perry, flying lotus... how is adding skream and code 9 a very very special line up in a dmz party

skream was kinda cool that year for me cos it was first time seeing him he played lemon and it seemed like it might be his last dubstep set for quite a long time

So because its predictable it can't be ridiculous? Why does it have to have some surprise factor to it in order to be a great lineup?mason666 wrote:this is what i don't get, it's pretty obvious roughly what the line up will be i don't get who could play that would make it ridiculous?Muncey wrote: Should be a ridiculous lineup.
Anything like the DMZ 10 Outlook lineup and it'll be great. Distance vs Pinch >>>>>>>
Also Kode9 dubstep set >>>>>>>>>
I reckon it'll either be very similar to the Outlook lineup, the original DMZ lineup or something like the Skream history event that was a while ago.
Re: [POLL] Is £30 for DMZ 10th birthday tickets taking the p
what did kode9 play last time, don't think it was dubstep at all (im not trying to be argumentative im curious) wasn't it some juke and some kinda trappy stuff this was a while back and i got quite waved

Re: [POLL] Is £30 for DMZ 10th birthday tickets taking the p
Dunno wasn't he room 2 or something? I presume he'd be booked to play a dubstep set this time though being 10 years of DMZ. They've often booked people in room 2 which are outside dubstep (Kahn playing a lot of grime, Zed Bias ect.)

yeah it was room 1 before dmz, i think i missed a lot of him actually, long queue time

Re: [POLL] Is £30 for DMZ 10th birthday tickets taking the p
Not so much how you said it but most people's defense for the price is 'wait until you see the line up', my point is it's pretty obvious roughly what the line up will be.Muncey wrote:So because its predictable it can't be ridiculous? Oh right, I meant the lineup should be ridiculous as just a statement on its own.. nothing to do with the price/people defending it. Just, it should be big regardless.

$32 for kahn + locals seems extremely high, that would be like $10 tops around here. what's the catch?
