Some fun to be had mixing bit of 4x4 into dubstep, not really clled niche is it, just the name of the club, there not even allowed to use that name in anyway in sheff now, due to the trouble associated with it. Bit jokes really!
It's all about the darker stuff, allow some of the vocal stuff, it gets a bit waste like.

Well, they're very different in some ways but still closely related. Niche is really fun and sexy and slinky but doesn't have much space or depth, whereas dubstep (or at least a lot of it) has bucketloads of depth and space and subtlety but maybe lacks a bit of fun and slinkyness. Much like the Planeteers, combining their powers could give something pretty tasty.

I reckon the best niche at the moment is merking dubstep but there's lot of crap out there and I find a lot of niche just dull. All about T2 and JTJ though for me.

I sort of have a guilt pleasure thing going on with that T2 Heartbroken tune... its reeks of tracky bottoms and phones playing music, but I still end up turning the radio up when it comes on.

I like it. It's an alternative to the formula ways to put something "hype" into a dubstep set. Take a left turn and step on the accelerator - as long as the bass kicks and the hooks make your brain go "WHUT!?" who cares the genre name?

100% agree. That statement sums up my attitude to music.
If you're just getting into the Bassline sound, check productions by DJ Q, Paleface, DJ Veteran, Riplash & Sus, Agent X, The Wideboys, Delinquent, EJ, Virgo, TS7 and Wittyboy to name a few.
