why do people have to announce the fact that they are "Leaving"

aside from people pissing Parson off to the point of bailing

I just dont see why people can't just take a little break if they find themselves upset for whatever reason with the internet, or this forum

yeah seriously if you get so pissed off about stuff don't make a big song and dance about it, by doing that you just give satisfaction to the people that pissed you off in the first place, if you just rise above and discreetly slip out you get minimum damage, by doing this you've made yourself a laughing stock blizzard
