Probably because the second drop sounds completely different to the first, probably dropped it to keep the flow.

heard somewhere that Jamie Vex'd simply didn't like the 3rd drop and told him to remove it before it was released.. don't know if this is true tho

Don't think that's true. When some people asked Loefah about the 2nd drop he simply said he didn't know what Planet Mu did.
Some say the master of the version with the 2nd drop got lost so they used an old one instead. But that sounds unlikely too.

That is ultra lame. Should've just asked for the wav from someone who had it on dub and master it again..
