60k of Opus Sound, outside at a festival in France with Zion Train playing.

We were two miles away on a hill, and the sound was perfectly crisp, balanced AND VERY LOUD.

Valve is mental!!!

Plastic People´s sound is amasing - nuff reespek. Can´t forget Fabric´s main floor sound as well. Haven´t heard the other UK dub/reggae sounds though (except for the usual ones at the Nottinghill Carnival).

How come no one's mentioned Dissident!! Bristol crew.

Was well impressed by that at the (first?) subloaded and from what i heard it wasn;t even finished by then! :o

Easily better than Valve (wasn;t impressed by it, loud, heavy-ish bass but sounded properly shit for anything other than dillinja tunes. And Dillinja tunes have been shit for a long time. Imo. etc.)

As for jah shaka well that system is pretty special, but dissident was prolly even better. Amazing clarity and stupendous real subbass weight. :D
is it?

NO.

Second that for grapms rig at Volks. Pure weight.

Perhaps it something to do with the location, underground cavernous space.

I saw FWD at Ministry of Sound back in December, for me that was impressive. I cant stress enough how lucky you guys are in the UK!

Innit. I haven't heard any of the serious dub rigs, so can't compare, but it's easily the deepest I've heard. Not the loudest, sure, but for sub-sub-frequencies it rules! Anyone who was there will testify; I rmx could have killed someone...!

I heard Loefah and Cyrus playing through just two of those bins in Timbuk2 a few months before - in such a small room the bass pressure was proper dangerous.... :o
Bass is maternal, when it's loud I feel safer
