i see wot your sayin. what other big dubstep nights av you been (bar DMZ) that av been like that?

ques you can avoid if your early, avoid waiting at the bar soo much if u drink up before you come, and smoke comfy and avoid bouncers if u find a decent spot where there is a lot going on (depending on how regular the bouncers move around).

the rowdiness is jus dont to who u run into on the night.

i dont get why dmz most of this stuff doesnt happen lol

the other big dubstep nights where i got severly fucking vexed were fwd warehouse party and the one before the most recent one at the end.

spiderman, you make good points, but the thing is ive jus become accustomed to no stress at all at dubstep nights. i know i've probably become a bit spoiled but i remember the days you could roll up to fwd at 1am and stroll straight in no problem! dubstep nights used to be a breath of fresh air as compared to other nights all over london so it gets frustrating when you find yourself makin complaints you havent made in so long, especially about things you never associated with dubstep.

these things dont usually happen at dmz because the spirit is still the same... its about putting on a sick dance first and foremost, whereas in other places you sometimes get the impression its basically jus about the dinero.

havin said that a mate of mine has got me queue jump and free entry so i'll probably be there all the same.

 :D

lol haha the last line is almost a u-turn on everything u sed

ye i agree wid u on the point about being used to the free vibes, it was one of the factors that made dubstep unique.

thing is it mite get a bit trampeled on with all the mainstream attention, but there is no reason to say that some of its nature cant still hold thru if people are makin a collective effort.

i guess it really does depend on the crowd that comes.

i havent been plastic people since the smokin ban and ive herd they turf people for smokin now, and seeing as its a smallish venue it would be a bit easier for smokin to be controlled.

ive herd how ministry bouncers can be, but i guess its one of those things where if you avoid em u wont get much trouble, and its easy to avoid em if they aint really about. ive been to places were bouncers pace up n down all the time and others were i never see them after the front door.

to be fair, if the security in ministry is anything like fabric, smokin in the main room should be fine, and even if it aint smokin section aint so bad...as long as the rave is kickin. 8)

...and my address is....

nah, anyways tho, i well agree with you farrah, the exact problem i have is that i have been spoiled rotten by brilliant dubstep nites and squat parties, where everything is cheap and happy, no attitude, no crappy security...so now i expect it everywhere i go, went to a playaz nite at fabric and realised how bad it really was (although general fabric crowd has gone downhill very badly over the last 2 years)...to be honest, nights like fwd have made it nigh on impossible for me to enjoy commercial clubs, and squat raves have made it impossible to justify spending that much on a night out...

i well wish i was actually putting on a fake fwd nite tomorrow now, made myself look forward to it an everything...goddamn imagination.

heard of a couple of people gettin turfed for smokin, but you can smoke behind the deckles and winston doesnt bat an eyelid at however much lemon you wanna blaze outside the door... for me fwd has the best smoking policy - you cant do it inside, but you can bun whatever you want as soon as youre over the threshold.

i love this thread, not only have I removed all bad-feelings about being too lazy to go to ministry, but I've decided that I want to build a club, and invite farrah an everyone who aint going MoS friday, and it'll be like a scene in one of those cheesy movies where EVERYONE turns up at my club and ministry goes out of business only to be bought by dillinja who turns it into an underwater club with subs everywhere.......ill leave now sorry.

lot of valid points made in this thread. i find the lineups for those 'big' nights tend to be more appealing than the end result and the atmospheres always make me feel like i need to go extra-curricular on my intoxication, not always the one. with that there fwd lineup i would like to reach pp tonight, perhaps with the amount of people that're gonna be headin to MoS fwd might even resemble it's old thursday night self.
