nah seriously though I think that people should write about the things they are passionate about. If politics or spirituality comes under that, then fair play. I would much rather listen to a rapper passionately talking about his beliefs rather than some made up wishy-washy fake ass image/life he has going on.

If you know your craft and actually put yourself in there then there's no hiding it. On the other hand if you set out to put a thought or an opinion in someones head you had better do it 'stealthily' because it will change the focus of the whole process of creation and will almost certainly fill that necessary blank spot where the listener/viewer etc would usually place their unique interpretation and bring it to life, but I can't think of one example where that was done properly.

People misunderstand politics as being directly related to the human condition and in turn actual feelings.
Its not though, its just principles and rules, like a board game. But when saying that, there's still tunes that checkmate you at the drop.
