Used to think I'd consider myself a "DJ" when I'd made a mixtape/cd and people that people would listen to and enjoy. That happened, and still I didn't feel like a DJ. Then I thought once I'd got on pirate radio and got my name out there a bit I'd feel like DJ. That happened, and still I didn't quite feel like a DJ. Then I thought that once I'd played out I'd definitely feel like a DJ. That happened, first in smaller bars, and over the last year or so in some bigger club venues to a lot of people. That happened, and I kind of feel like a proper DJ now.

But then you watch something like that..!

And it pops your bumbaclart balloon.

Sweet lord, Q Bert is the king.
Saw him a couple of years ago, absolutely stormed it and didn't even switch the decks on. Amazing.
In fact - http://youtube.com/watch?v=u8jt_fUm59g

These guys are all fantastic, on sheer musicality Kid Koala wins hands down though.

Kid Koala Live @ Maida Vale For 6 Music - 1

Kid Koala Live @ Maida Vale For 6 Music - 3

That drunken trumpet one (third video) is simply genius.

There's the Shiggar Fraggar Shows, recordings of their pirate radio sets from a good few years back.

I always loved the Qbert mix of Dj Shadow - Camel Bobsled Race..only ever had it on tape - worth checking if you can find it.
