I prefer spending $2 on a download and never having to deal with record ware.
What label is Request Line out on and why isn't the label on the digital download ball?
traditionalists maybe??
its all of 4 pounds here -- http://redeyerecords.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=48
u could rip both sides then, because the flip is great too.
and then re-sell it if u like...
not that hard.

i meant selling the platter, not the mp3.
if u actually read the whole thread, you would see i was just giving the dude an option.
if trying to help out the guy makes me a "waceman" whatever that is, then whatever.

Regardless if you were saying an mp3 or the record.
... you can't buy a record.
Rip it to mp3/wav, keep the mp3/wav.
And then sell the same record on.
You've got a high quality mp3/wav for nowt.
Am I missing something here or is that taking the piss and robbing skream of money?
Im not trying to start shit, But piracy in Dubstep....

Re: Where can I download Request Line???!
If he ALREADY bought the record, how has Skream lost any money?Thats has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.ac23 wrote:I know you meant sell the record.Marsyas wrote:ebay?ac23 wrote:Buying a RecordMarsyas wrote:tempa...zacharia360bpm wrote: I use Scratch Live pretty much exclusively now so vinyl ins't practical for me.

Take that WAV/MP3 and play it out AFTER you've sold the record.
Its exactly the same as buying a CD, burning yourself a copy and taking it back to the shop or selling it on to someone else.
Tempa's lost money because someones copied his tune, yes he's already bought it but ended up with a WAV for say nothing.
Or maybe a couple of quid if he sold the record at a lost.
So thats 4pound for Tempa for the record and thats it.
Not 4 quid for Tempa and then 2quid for buying an wav/mp3(If available).
In this case you can't get it on mp3/WAV.
So instead of 2 people buying 1 copy of Midnight Request Line each.
One persons bought it, one persons got it for nowt.
Putting an idea like that on the main dubstep forum isn't clever either is it.
Whats stopping someone buying half of the tunes of Redeye, copying it to WAV to use with FinalScratch. And selling em all on.
You pay for the copyright.
Why not just download 320s of slsk, cut out the effort of buying a record.

i was always curious about what the anti-pirates thought about resale items.
when i bought a toasty record used (hotflush really), i wondered how the people who made the record feel???they make their money, then what about when it gets resold? the record store who buys then sells it is making money off the exact same thing as the record company!? what if the first owner keeps a recording, as stated above? where can a line be drawn?

The line is drawn at
Buy a record, Sell a record.
Buy a record, record it to WAV, KEEP the record.
Its just like hiring DVDs and copying em.
