i'd love to do both, vinyl and cd/digi but its a lot of hassle.
i wait til i've got 3 or 4 .wav or 320 tunes that i've bought or hassled off a producer then get a 10" dub made with dubstudio with two tracks on each side for £25.
it IS kind of pricey, but it works as quality control too. i'm only gonna spend the money on those tracks if they're worth it, not becuase i want to see how they sound on a rig.
i can see where you're coming from though. however, you don't get the 'new vinyl' buzz from buying new mp3s
