What a sick night, Oneman's set was just silly, a great night all round, out to the people I met for the first time, and Luke cotching on the far left stack for about half an hour at the end

they were a bit off, hashmoney was lurking on a chair and this bouncer came up to him and just goes "either get up, or FUCK OFF HOME!!" which seemed kinda offy :?

still a massive night, mass just need to fix up a little bit
shit. i hope they fix up, i bloody hate bouncers :x
Just don't let them get to you on the door. I've always been on me tod before, finally get a posse together after bigging up DMZ for time, only for four of my mates to not make it inside over petty shit, i.e they found a blim on one mate, then someone got vexed cos they were putting their hands in her pockets, which escalated...Just don't give them an excuse to get shitty!
But fuck it, in my eagerness I went in ahead, missed the drama and had a blinder. And I'll be taking them to Drums Of The South on Friday. Brixton, eh? We're fucking spoilt!

Placed this in the other thread, it's a bit of an essay but I ain't at work today so got the time:

Rah, fucking missions but what a heavy night, best vibes I've experienced there for a while now.

It is about:
-2l bottle of whisky and coke on the bus got things off to a good start
-Last 45mins of DMZ, meditation shit.
-Quest and Silkie killed it with so many tunes, from deep stuff to the more bouncey shit it was a great set, full of tunes you want to skank to, not tunes you feel compelled to by their sheer ferocity. Oh and broken heart rmx will NEVER get old, big up them two.
-Oneman, great to see him with a nr prime set time, badboy mixture of rhythms and flava's, 8bar grime, garage, classic 'step, oh yeah Agent X - Decoy boop.
-Appleblim wished I had caught more than just the last half hour but was outside chatting pier shittington to (un)willing 'versationists. Sub, breaks, good vibes perfect end.
-Pier more shittington chatting to corpsey, blooksta, badge et al on the green out front till 7am (safe for the rollies blook, nice to meet u propa! haha) oh and Ben UFO nice to meet you mate, well done for tolerating the verbal barrage for a while.
-Walking around Victoria station with el and melson at 8am and finding endless jokes out of normality.

NOT about:
-Feeling all healthy sat afternoon and going for a run and SPRAINING MY FUCKING ANKLE, Ive run the same route hundreds of times in the past couple of years and never injured myself, rahh I was fucking pissed off BUT I still made it in the end and skanked out (for better or worse).
-Staying on the green chatting till 7am or fannying about at Victoria station for an hour, both of which led to:
-Getting the bus just 8.45 or so and arriving back in oxfd at five to ten. No money for a taxi and not the wits to consider the bus meant we hobbled from headington to the temple cowley centre and it took a fucking hour and a half (shankle my ankle) in the pissing rain
-Walking in to my mates' house at 11.30 after 1/2hr kip, soaked, and carrying a bunch of flowers that I had picked from various gardens along the way and placed in an empty sunny d bottle 'vase', to find elbe's housemates up and watching tv, eugh casualties.

Fucking glad I had the good sense to get today off, got in to bed last night after 1 1/2hrs sleep since sat morning and didn't have to consider work, or getting up.

DMZ was a big, cosy womb providing 8 hours of bassy umbilical nourishment until I emerged at 6am, blinking, into an uncaring world.

So, err, yeah. It was something pretty special.

How long til September 6th?

There's no vibe like at DMZ really, sounds cheesy maybe but its more of a community than a crowd at some points.
