Sorry mate you need to pretty much learn how to mix again when you move over to technics from belt drives.

I used to have some shitty red KAM belt drive decks years ago, and could mix well good on them, as soon as i moved over to technics it was a different story! I bought my tech 1200 Mk2 (the silver ones) brand new about 6 or 7 years ago for £1100 (inc a mixer), sold them about 6 months ago for £400 (without mixer)

skip the Gemini's. If you are not sure that you really want to spin, go play on someone else's 12's for a while. You will regret buying cheap tables if you intend to stick to the DJ thing - trust me.

I went the Gemini route first, then ended up selling them for cheap & buying the Technics. Haven't regretted it one minute for the last 8 or 9 years (can't remember how old my 12's are).

serato is cool but will not give your wavs / mp3s the sound of vinyl
