Without getting too in depth if you know what you are doing you can avoid most virus attacks without even doing anything.

Alot of Virii only target the first two partitions or drives you have on your PC or the partition with windows on.

So if you use multiple partitions and keep your important files in the 3rd or 4th most virii wont even notice they exsist.
