There is no dubstep beat.

I guess something like Excision might be a bit similar to what you're looking for.

I don't think it's new. Breakcore producers were there from day one. Just check
http://www.discogs.com/release/333008 and
http://www.discogs.com/release/312293 with Drop The Lime making Dubstep in 2004!!

Also the label Ruff from France pushed boundaries with experi-mental dubstepish sound very early.
http://www.discogs.com/label/Ruff

Other artists/releases with this sound would be
King Cannibal
Istari Lasterfahrer
The before mentioned Cardopusher
Ebola
And of course Aaron Spectre with his 'Say More Fire'!!

to the one who started the thread: I've been looking for things like this recently as well. Came across some tracks and they blew my fucking mind. They seem to be few & far between tho...check these artists...

Milanese - all albums!
Enduser - Left...tracks like Intermission 3
Barry Lynn(aka Boxcutter) - Balancing Lakes...tracks like New Orleans
Drumcorps/Aaron Sprectre - um....not so much Dubish but madness.
The Bug - Tapping The Conversations...has some really glitchy areas!

I think Milanese might be the sound you are looking for? I dunno.

If you find out please let me know cus I love me some glitchstep...or whatever you wish to call it. Glitchy HipHop(like Prefuse at times) is called GlitchHop so I would think this style you seek would be Glitchstep.

Music is just one big sound.... I've been digging through my electronica and i've found tons of stuff i could mix into a dubstep set.... it just comes down to tempo really.

I know Excision of course and he and all Rottun recordings are top for me. Shambhala mix and that first mix from Rottun are the best mixes ever! I know most of artist, which you named here, and that´s all is is very good music, but still not that what I looking for. But some tunez are really big. that Wagawaga is very nearly to what i want! Very good glitchy dubstep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrkBx39Jgm8 And next...this is one of track what I´ve heard in the club: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGT8VnHy34g get to this more dubstep sound and basses and it´s perfect! I really like it...
