I hate VJing tho, unless it's specifically done in tandem with the music (i.e. pre prepared for the 2 to go together)
Any old Vj though over a sick dj set pisses me off, it detracts from the audio experience for me.
Holograms in the dance though... that i would like to see

Personally I think that its great if its pre prepared .... but still needs to be done on the fly live (to take itno account changes in set, etc)... but really depends on the situation (i.e. I like to see live cam inputs etc used)..
I wish I could do shit like that with my VJ gear tho hahah some of the stuff is pretty simple, others in that vid is crazy. Must be soome crazy expensive projectors tho!

Saying that some people made this software where you could Graph and animate on the fly, they did VJ with it and it looked pretty cool. Cant find the video though
Adikt do you have any vids of your Surveillance System sounds well cool.

I took holography as a fine arts class in '94-'95 and trust me when I say that projection mapping is NOT holography and that a virtual 3-D holographic projection is still many many years down the road. There's not a computing device on the planet fast enough to process true 3-D information in real time, let alone transfer that data through wires. We don't even have the technology capable of handling that many 1s & 0s.
Projected 'psuedo-grams' are nothing new. Walt Disney figured that out 50 years ago in his little fun house rides. The image appears to hover in space, but you cant walk around it in a virtual environment and see it in 360.
