Re: Elitism in Dubstep
there is always gonna be shittalking. meh. just ignore it and do what you love. i personally am completely bored with the wobble, but that doesn't mean that i am gonna tell anyone they can't listen to it. i just look for other stuff. doesn't bother me in the slightest.ladyAsia wrote:Basically there is too much negative energy going around becuase certain 'regulators'/ heds are have been bashing elements of the music that people clearly ove ; if wobbley bass goes off then let it go off.
Would nights made up of the so called 'wonky' tunes that blackdown encourages necessarily be any better? \\\would it get people moving as much? It such a nod ya ' hed' nerdy boy sound and anyway.

music is music. people will always find something to talk shit about, and it never really matters. that said, i don't think there is some elitist cabal trying to stop the spread of wobble. people have opinions, and they are free to express them. but there is enough wobble out there, and people are buying it, so that supposed elitist cabal isn't really affecting anything, eh?
life goes on. there are definitely more important things in life than arguing over music.

dude. it's a music forumsapphic_beats wrote: there are definitely more important things in life than arguing over music.

I swear there are more threads/posts on here now about how people should stop being so negative than there are negative threads/posts.
Four or five people say such and such a tune is shit and everybody starts ringing their hands and worrying that we're all going to choke on the bad vibes.
The day I stop making tunes that sound like a 6 year old doing a Joey Deacon impersonation into a distortion unit will be a sad day indeed.
