He/they made some sick tunes.tempromental wrote:What happened to alias they used to make mucky tunes.. alias alias bommm
That Warriors tune is off the scale!
I saw Slimzee on get darker, just wondering if much of the stuff he played, from the likes of Wizzbit, Jon E Cash etc, is available for purchase on mp3 anywhere? I'm aware a lot of it's released on vinyl but it's hard to find, expensive and I cannot play vinyl.
Tear it up

yeh you got it man. i grew up with scratchy and johnny skeng. They are 2 different peps lol. Scratchy has made a few funky beats, some of which are big. Watch out for scratchy some hot shit coming upD+ wrote:scratchy is not j skengDubloke wrote:cheers for that, very helpfulangrymidget wrote:Wreckage, Three Crows & Thug by Maniac would all fall into the grey area.
Phat Pat i'm not sure what mix you mean but if it's the one from May 2006 the following still produce Grime.
Terror Danjah - has just released Zip Files Vol. I a collection of instrumentals from himself, D.O.K, Loudmouth and Swindle from the Aftershock era.
Spyro - Still very much a part of the grime scene i heard he is producing some funky to.
Jammer - Albeit sporadically. His made/making a funky album with C.Gritz (also of Neckle Camp) as well.
Wiley
Scratchy - His started to make funky as well under the name Johnny Skeng
Rossi B & Luca - Dubstep/Grime their on it.
Geeneus produces funky now and has just put out an album. Imperial not a clue? Haha

same ere bruv, them days was the 1s. early grime was so so good. Shame grime has gone down the road it has. But nothing ever stays the same. Who knows where grime/dubstep or anyother genre will be in 5years time.Ammo wrote:ah yeah checked it out, big look! still missin the old skool grime days! dizzee with slimzee sets etcDubstepper wrote:yes welcome to wonderland did get realeased, big album. Some of that Alias stuff was ridiculous. Warriors, Gladiator, Fight Club etc
But yeah Wonder was also killing it. What Have You Done. Call My Name. What. Voodoo People Remix. Real gritty, industrial feel about his music, yet soulful at the same time. I think thats missing in a lot of Dubstep production. The wobble shit is just garbage to me.

What was massive, pure grower. The Geeneus remix was massive aswell, n the Dizzee vocal 'Respect Me'. I always wondered if Wonder made 'What' before Wiley made 'Morgue' or vice versa...thesoulbrother wrote:Some of that Alias stuff was ridiculous. Warriors, Gladiator, Fight Club etc
