i am not studying for a degree.. yet. i want advice not smart assed little comments and some people have given me some sound advice which fully justifies starting this thread.Caeraphym wrote:This thread makes me wonder how some people can breathe (with their mouths closed for bonus points) and walk at the same time, let alone study for a degree off their own back.

depone, you didn't ask people on a forum to do your degree though
he's not insulting degree students, he's insulting the OP for not choosing his own darned tracks!
i actually reckon it was a cheeky plug tbh.

Chill Depone, that was a shot at people who don't seem to think for themselves anymore, ie OP.
Good luck with your degree though.
And I say what I say to anyone not just a bloody anonymous interwebium forum (especially as there wasn't anything particularly malicious being said), one day if our paths ever cross irl you'd realise that and I'll buy you a pint for your troubles. :blows kiss:
Group sex anyone?

Hey man, I like your tracks, I think they're pretty creative.
If you want some advice, I would work on making your work a bit more atonal, the chord progressions get a bit predictable after a while.
Also, what I find always makes tracks more interesting is to A) Have something (it can be small) with an outrageous effect on it (eg a guitar strum with super stereo delay and a freaky pitch shift) and B) add some really unpredictable sounds and samples in there, and you can work around these and create a song based on working with the mad sounds. I once even had a food procesor in the middle of my song... (it was supposed to sound like a chainsaw...)
Anyway, take my advice or completely ditch it, I'm probabaly talking shit now so, y'know.
Take care, and I really do hope you get into uni dude, honestly.
