shitloads of stuff on here, just discovered it thanks to dj scuds ambush site.

http://www.hardscore.com/main.html

check the mixes section.

i would personally love to see more overt references to breakbeat hardcore in dubstep/grime, i think theres definitly a lineage there, like what scud is doing with his wasteland project, anyone here heard this stuff??

4-Hero - these guys and the Reinforced label were the first to hook me into the jungle / hardcore sound, back around 93 ...

The Enforcers picture disc series
Journey from the light e.p.
Internal Affairs

also .. early doc scott, ruffige kru (Goldie), Foul Play ...

Formative and inspirational times - the production and mixdowns were really raw but full of feeling and energy, it was a time of discovery.

In my opinion, Squarepusher has made some of the best acid of all time (aside from old school classics like Phuture's Acid Tracks). Tracks like Dedicated Loop, Schizm Track #2, Snake Pass, Lone Ravers, The Barn... Anyone agree? I've always wanted to hear more stuff like this. I always thought he should've focused on acid like his bro, rather than drill n bass or jazz improv or whatnot. Know of any other tracks in this vein (sort of "idm does rave", like Amen Andrews type stuff) as good as these?

Squarepusher is a bit hit and miss imo. I like some of his stuff. He blows me away in a live capacity though. Tom is a sick bass player.

You couldnt get any more old skool than this - From the last Bangface party... Luke Vibert aka Amen Andrews with Flinty Badman and Deman Rockers. Ruff inna jungle...
