Most soundcard, even internal ones have a "What U Hear" or "Stereo Mix" or "wave in (like my old inbuilt one)" function, if you don't you must have a serioussssssssly old motherboard or soundcard.Keggah wrote:innit dependent on ya soundcard?thecatinside wrote:It's even more simpler. Press rec on the audacity while playing the youtube-video of your choice and it should be recorded. No need for cables.Apathesis wrote:If you really want to rip audio off of youtube then it's as simple as:
1) Mini-jack to mini jack: line out to line in
&
2) Something like audacity open and hit record!

youtubemusic downloader. downloads it then converts the file to mp3 or wav or whatever. just torrent the cracked version like every1 else. granted that the sound quality is generally bad, if u add &fmt=18 to each video before downloading u can improve the quality quite a bit, and almost all songs u get will be playable on loud systems, not like club systems but maybe for ur rooms setup idk
I'm actually starting to think, considering the amount of noise and distortion used in the majority of dubstep tunes, is the bad quality of youtube rips actually going to be noticeable?Neurotik wrote:Very true, but i still use youtube videos for a quick sample search, then download the flv using http://www.keepvid.com and convert to mp3 and open it and start sampling in Soundforge.Depone wrote:i just wouldnt man, youtube quality is shit. I use this too and it did go a bit shit for me for a week or 2 a while ago but it serves me well these days, a lot of other sites were very unreliable and downloading a program to do rip the tracks seemed unneccessary when you can do it online.Capital North wrote:www.listentoyoutube.com
It's the most reliable I've found so far...and it's speedy too. In 15 min I end up with 20 songs kinda deal. And I've noticed recently that there's extensions for links that you can add to the original link that will play that shit in HD.
