if ur complaining about the technical aspects of doom beats ur listening to the wrong guy. part of doom's appeal is his cut and paste, lo-fi beats, which just stink of 'watch me throw a beat together, spit over it and sound better than 95% of anything else out there right now', which he does. time and time again.

theres a difference between poor mixing and lo-fi, and i'm familiar with dooms music, this album just sounds shittier in general compared to his other albums. i've seen/heard other people mention the mixing and say the same thing.

and again, doom's beats are ass.

i like how when people dont feel something(often cus it is above them) they feel the need to call it ass. Call it poor mixing if you want but i call it SYNCOPATION. In the old days before the word was a genre it was called fuckin GRIMEY! Lo-Fi...glitchy...raw...funky as fuck...just dont give a fuck if you like it or not...i'm sure there are other words...but ass isnt one.

i think Cellz is one of my new favorite tracks...

Metal face fenster...playing with the dirty money...
Sinister don't know what he saying but the words be funny...

i knew that was coming...lol..i play jazz sax & drums...i know the word...i was not using it as a synonym for grimey, but as an additional descriptive term for how Doom makes beats. He doesnt go smoothly from one to another but at times makes you think the record is skipping, but when listened to carefully & blunted you realize its just on some 16th of a 5/8 measure shit...anyway...dopeness...but i still want Madvilliany II

/pop ! Sorry - my 2p from a n00b

Have to agree.. The beats are old hat and a bit lacking. The raps seem to use the same patterns and the same rhyming words.

However - put it all together and its D to the O to the P to the E. DOOM just cant fail surely?

Lex on the other hand… I have a friend o a friend, whos daddys mate works for Oi Vey Quest (who do the smashing Graphics/Artworks/Packaging) Apparently, there has been a big fall out over an image and DOOM will no longer be working with Lex.

The one request our Villain had was for an image of a sonagram wearing the mask on the back cover. He then submitted a BUTT NEKID, very sensual (!), photo of himself in the mask straight to the designers, and they sent the finished article to print. Once Lex got the covers back, someone flipped and pulled the whole thing… There maybe some covers that still got this image but with a sticker put over the top?? After worrying about the track Batty-Boys, they thought the image was too gay and got the design team to change it.. Our hero then flipped that he'd been censored, and lo, DOOM will no longer be working with Lex.

Our musical world would be a sadder barren place without the likes of DOOM in it (BTW, he's getting funkier & Stankier a' la ODB nowadays IMO).

No DOOM = Us talking about the musical merits of G-Unit!
