no... i am the asshole, hahahha:
i can say that i love tunes from matty g, sukh knight, 16 bit, ruckspin, and all of the others aforementioned...
but it is definitely not what i am looking for with this post...
just kick, snare, sub, midrange 'bass', and some sound effects or something(hahahaha that's dubstep). maybe a vocal here and there. i feel like i'm gonna get lynched because i'm not satisfied
still on the look...
i should probably elaborate: i think a lot of what i'm wanting to hear is in the mixdown... any good producer can make these banger style tunes, but who can make it sound appealing in a non-dubstep kind of way?
loefah is probably the closest i can think of besides el-b(i hope el-b makes more tunes like this), i wish i had more examples, but then i wouldn't need to write this post in the first place
eligh and magi had this cd a while back that had some potential, i think called 'the brothers grime'? the sound i'm looking for was almost coming thru on that cd, but it was a little too west coast or i'm just too used to that kind of vocals...
i know you guys have some dirty tunes over there across the atlantic, just trying to cast my line that far and get a bite...

once I looked beautiful
when I was a swan.
Misery me!
Now black and roasting fiercely!

Was about to say Richie's tunes are exactly what you are describing. Got clips up now of his EP coming on Savory http://virb.com/savoryaudio

hmmm... maybe you should check dubchild's tunes (not the overly dubby stuff he's got on myspace tho). his bits on heavy artillery are all ruff as *** and still got that swing.eshscramble wrote:no... i am the asshole, hahahha:
