Skream - Clap Your Hands
Is not dubstep, is not good (i'm not saying that anything that isn't dubstep isn't good, before anyone jumps down my throat).
It sounds like some hardcore tune, slowed down and not as mental.
I'm sure he took he remix of that intra:mental tune (which he ruined) and changed the samples.

Love it but would need to hear this one on a proper system as the bottomend/kick doesn't sound punchy enough.

Erm...may be wrong, but it's a "Hardcore" track...And I hate most Hardcore...
However, I wouldn't say no to hearing this one on a propa system, just to see how insane it can be. Sounds better than most hardcore (probably because his "sounds" are much nicer than the classic hardcore sounds.

No this is definitely not hardcore. Hardcore is cheesy stuff. This is probably more akin to hard minimal techno I'd say. I think what does it for me is the live feel of the claps.WhiteLight wrote:Erm...may be wrong, but it's a "Hardcore" track...And I hate most Hardcore...

This track is pretty dance-able, think skream dropped it at the last FWD no? Works well and a bit of change from the usual kick snare model.

Yeah, I completely agree that's why I said it sounds like hard minimal techno.smartface wrote:Dude that is NOT minimal techno. i've only heard it once but my two cents is that it would probably sound pretty fierce on the dancefloor
its quite a weird tune and quite bold too which makes it pretty cool as it's pretty fair to say its not "typical" dubstep
seems like both benga and skream have been experimenting with a kind of stripped down techno sound - but nothing like the 2562/martyn/appleblim style
recently I've been thinking I'd like to hear something a bit dubby and melodic (like 0800 dub which i was listening to recently on an old mix) from Skream as a lot of his recent stuff has been quite brutal and metallic (Laroux not included) but guess he just wants to keep moving forward and innovating
as someone said its quite amusing to think of someone hearing this after the Laroux remix, expecting more of the same.. its especially weird as this tune doesn't sound at all like a "typical" Skream tune either
just shows that you can't pigeonhole him really, same as Benga - i can imagine they probably egg each other on to produce more and more off the wall stuff
