I can understand how someone can be bored of a single genre to be honest. It's like Metal - My mate is always like "Dude, chech out this band" and back in the day I'd be like "Shit, we've gotta see them live!" and now I just tell him to not bother because I'm probably not going to enjoy it.

I think I over-dosed on it, to be honest. Luckily, I now have my fingers in a few pies, and when I'm bored of something, I'll just leave it off for a bit. I heard Noise/Drone/Ambient the other day, and it clicked inside me how much I actually miss that shit, and now I'm listening to that and Dubstep in equal parts.

Exactly. I listen to so many different genres each day, too much good music to listen to just 1.

Sometimes you're in the mood to listen to a style of music and sometimes you aren't. It's not necessarily anything to do with the quality of the music.

Go and listen to some jazz or techno or skiffle or something. Take a few months off and then go out to a big night like DMZ and if you're still not feeling it move on.

Oh, and if the club nights you go to are musically predictable and full of people on K, you're going to the wrong clubs.

I blame it on the new technology of Toasters - back in the day you had to serve a long apprenticeship at toast-making school b4 they even allowed you near the toaster - now kids are just buying bimbo bread and affordable small toasters and are just toasting - no real preparation there. And they just don't care about burning it or underdoing it let alone the marmalade!!!!! I'm gonna jump ship and get into the mad muffin scene...

Does anyone else think that most of the toast that gets burned these days is a pale imitation of 2005-era burnt toast? These days everybody’s got a toaster and nothing to say.
