Homie is hearing the hard drive ticin away an shit - that's just a shitty unshielded unfiltered soundcard. Seriously homes, you need something with asio drivers and decent enough quality. Don't think the earth is getting in the way on this one.

No it isn't that's why some plugs have a dummy earth pin like:

Re: DJing with Laptop (Traktor)
Ok but what would happen if I got that certain electrical appliance and cut up the wire and stuck my hand to it? Would it trip off?
Re: DJing with Laptop (Traktor)
Hopefully natural selection would eliminate someone silly enough to do that from the gene pool.
Re: DJing with Laptop (Traktor)
HAHa I'v beaten natural selection by asking questions like the former lolrbnc wrote:Hopefully natural selection would eliminate someone silly enough to do that from the gene pool.

I've lifted the ground many times.
Hell, I've stood in a puddle of water and stuck my hand into a nest of hot tube wires. I'm still here, and have reproduced fuckers!

She does, in fact.
Re: DJing with Laptop (Traktor)
Yes,
I really meant the earth cable, my English is not THAT bad for a non-native speaker i think... maybe you can't read...

that's why you have to take an extra powerchord like i've mentioned, open the box and cut out the earthcable... then put this one between your laptop's powerchord and the electric net... If you run your laptop on the battery it will be imposible to do longer sets... by the way... I've realised this earthproblem only exists when another computer or electric tool/machine is plugged in on the same electric circuit... and if that isn't the problem... then save up some monney for a decent soundcard... otherwise your just a $$$****]¨^ù%% who want's to dj and is too fuckin' lazy to invest some monney in gear... and ow yeah don't get back to me like "you are a traktor user yourself,blablablabla"... I'm buying vynil since I'm a kiddoo and I still buy vynill...Pallms wrote:Is your laptop plugged in while you're using it? If so, you're most likely hearing the interference from the power. Unplug your laptop and run off the battery and it should go away.
