I wuz going to buy the ltd ed cd but I impulsively downloaded it off Boomkat today for 5.99 and I'm listening to it now. Really liked his eps... so knew this would be good.
'60s psych seems to be a big influence... good cuz I'm a big fan of psych. Both Paul and Bullion have definate 60s flavours going on... or like Ariel Pink forced thru a wonk filter maybe.
Some of the tracks are a bit short so it's like a taster in some ways.
I especially liked the Capt Beefheart "fast n bulbous" speech which is a ridiculously spot-on ... I mean pretty well EXACT.... repro of the spoken word piece off Trout mask Replica. They must have listened to that quite a few hundred times to get it that spot on. Well done.

yeah well - I'm of that vintage I'm afraid :D
I also spotted the King Crimson sample (easy one).... and a very brief vocal snatch off a Mothers of Invention album (We're Only In It For the Money) ... blink and you'd miss that one. I will need to listen a few more times to spot some more.
Great album though - listened thru to it about 5 times on repeat yesterday afternoon while playing Midnight Club 3 (Dub edition natch).
Later on I downloaded The Dragon Fly/ Silent Cry single off Boomkat...as I gather it would be tricky gettin the 7".
I much prefer vinyl ... but I'm quite happy to embrace the way of the download in order to get rarer tunes.
I picked up the 1st Bullion Get Familiar 7" a couple of weeks back. Pleased to get hold of that one.
